How Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems Work
The conveyor system moves product into AS/RS loading zones for automated pick up and storage inside the racking system. The AS/RS system makes use of the available footprint and maximizes space by storing products vertically. When the product is called, an input signal is received and the control system extracts the product from racking, then delivers it to an outfeed station where it is picked up or transported to its destination. It is integrated with your inventory system which eliminates the need for physical inventory inspections.
